Royal Challengers Bangalore will host the Kings XI Punjab in the 8th match of IPL 2018 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB lost their first match to KKR by 4 wickets while KXIP easily defeated Delhi in their first game. Both teams had their bonuses from the last match with KXIP will be overwhelmed after how KL Rahul played on the last match. Other players like Karun Nair and Mujeeb ur Rahman also played really well for them.
Though KXIP is expected to play with the same squad it would be interesting to see if they will play Chris Gayle. After all the drama at the auctions, Punjab bought Gayle and as he knows the ground well, it won’t be any surprise if he manages a spot in the playing XI.
With Punjab having a lot of spinners in their team, it will be a great encounter between them and the power hitters of RCB. RCB would also look to improve their home record from last year as they lost 5 out of 7 games in 2017.
With an expected maximum temperature of 29°, which is quite pleasant as compared to normal South Indian weather conditions. Partly cloudy skies are also expected to interrupt the match in between. Coming to the pitch, a flat wicket is anticipated on even which 200+ scored can be score.
