Around seven weeks and 59 matches, we are are down to the Wankhede Stadium for the one last time and it’s when it matters the most. It’s the night of finals and Chennai Super Kings will be up against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mumbai.

As expected, two best teams of this year’s IPL will play this match. Chennai Super Kings have a habit of playing IPL finals as this will be their seventh such occasion out of nine attempts. And if they manage to win this year, it would not be less than a dream come back for not only the players but the fans as well.

SRH, on the other hand will be playing their third consecutive final including a title win in 2016. And they have been one of the most consistent team in IPL ever since their introduction. One of the main reasons for that is their stable support staff and management which results in their team performance as they do not look to make much changes.

These two teams have met thrice in this season and CSK have defeated Hyderabad everytime. And who can forget their last encounter during the Qualifier 1 where Faf du Plessis single handedly beat SRH and took his team to the finals. SRH got into the finals after they defeated KKR in the Qualifier 2 where Rashid Khan was the standout performer in the all three departments and created a buzz all around the cricketing world.

CSK is most unlikely to make any change in their playing XI but their are very minimal chances that Karn Sharma may play instead of Harbhajan Singh as the latter has been barely used in the past few games. While SRH are likely to make two changes as Manish Pandey may come back despite of his poor form as his replacement, Deepak Hooda has also not impressed much. Khaleel Ahmed is also almost confirmed of being replaced by Sandeep Singh.

It will be turning track track at this ground just like almost every other day. Spinners like Rashid Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, Ravindra Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh/Karn Sharma will continue to play a very major role. Also, humidity level will remain and there is also a slight chance of precipitation.
