Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Kings XI Punjab in the 18th match of IPL 2018 at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Both teams will be high on confidence as they won their previous two games comprehensively.

The emergence of the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle in this year’s IPL will start haunting the opponents as he has already scored a fifty and hundred in the two matches that he played. This will be a huge positive for the KXIP as this player can alone turn the match in either way.

Punjab otherwise also look a very strong team with balanced batting and bowling. With their all Indian players KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Karun Nair are performing well while their bowling also look pretty nice with the presence of Andrew Tye and Ravi Ashwin. The concern over Finch’s form would have also decreased as he scored few promising shots in the last game to finish the Punjab’s innings.

KKR also look pretty good as they placed well at the second spot in the Points Table. But still they have some issues to solve in which Chris Lynn’ s will be at top as the explosive batsman is yet to announce himself this year. The other problem in front of KKR is the use of U19 star Shubman Gill as he bats at number 7 for them which is too low for him to perform.

It will be a great encounter to witness between the Punjab’s batsmen and KKR’s spinners. Also not much changes are expected in both the sides as KKR will most probably play the same team but Punjab might replace Yuvraj Singh with Manoj Tiwary.

Heavy rainfalls have been there for almost every day in Kolkata during the afternoon time. But for Saturday, there are 40 percent chances of the thundershowers and else a very hot and humid weather conditions are expected to test the players out in the field.
