Two of the recent great players from Mumbai, Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane will face each other as the Mumbai Indians will take on the Rajasthan Royals Royals at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
These two teams are among the top contention for the 4th place at the Points Table to qualify for the playoffs. Right both, MI and RR are placed at the fifth and sixth place respectively with 10 points each. But it’s their Net Run Rate that makes them different from as MI have NRR of 0.53 while RR has of -0.48.
Mumbai Indians recently found their mojo back as they winning back-to-back games which also included a massive 102 runs win against the Kolkata Knight Riders. So, they haven’t made much changes in their playing XI and same is expected in this game as well.
The story has been somewhat similar for Rajasthan as well after they registered back to back wins against top teams, KXIP and CSK. Their decision of sending Butler at the top to open the batting has worked like wonders for them as the English wicketkeeper went on to score four consecutive fifties in four innings.
Though, Rajasthan has some issues address address where the major one is the performance of their ‘Most Valuable Player’ Ben Stokes as the English all-rounder averages about 16 with the bat and has taken only three wickets with the ball in ten matches.
Not much changes are expected to be seen in both sides as the two teams will look to continue with their winning combination. Coming to the weather, a much humid day is expected and as the players will be playing under the lights, it will be a big test for them in the middle.
