The most common side effect of Vitamin B12 deficiency is sheer tiredness. Sometimes the tiredness level rises beyond your capacity that you may even struggle to remain enthusiastic in the afternoon.

Lisa Cimperman says, “Fatigue is one of the first signs of vitamin B12 deficiency. That’s because your body relies on the vitamin to make red blood cells, which carry oxygen to your organs. And without enough oxygen in your cells, you’ll feel tired no matter how long you sleep.” Lisa Cimperman is the dietitian and spokesperson at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The red blood corpuscles are meant for carrying the oxygen. However, if your body lacks sufficient amount of Vitamin B12, the RBC formation is disrupted. It means that the RBC’s won’t get an adequate amount of oxygen. As a result, your body feels exhausted.

Some of the common symptoms of deficiency in the vitamin B12 level includes the red and sore tongue, weakness in muscles, poor vision, memory problems.

Healthline says, “These symptoms are ‘common’ in the US, especially in the elderly. You’re at risk of deficiency if you don’t get enough from your diet or aren’t able to absorb enough from the food you eat.”

Majority of the dietary sources of Vitamin B12 are inclusive of dairy and poultry products such as eggs, meat, and cheeses.

If you feel tired frequently, have about two eggs per day. Alternatively, you may have about two hundred and a Fifty-milliliter lump of cottage cheese products. These products ensure that your body receives the daily amount of Vitamin B12. However, still, if you don’t get sufficient amount of Vitamin B12, the deficiency can be eliminated with the help of Vitamin B12 supplements or injections.
