The bold and courageous Kangana Ranaut has always been outspoken in her criticism. The Bollywood star may have been off-screen and off-spotlight for some time now but she makes sure to brush up on the current affairs from time to time. Kangana will be attending the “Gandhi Goes Global” Summit which is supposed to be held in New Jersey, the USA on 18th and 19th August. This event will have her share the stage with former First Lady of the States, Michelle Obama and with an acclaimed American television personality, Oprah Winfrey.
Kangana, who is a believer of Gandhi’s ideologies, will represent India in the Summit. Speaking about it, Kangana said, “For me, it’s always been about the impact you make on the society and how you contribute to it. Sharing the Stage with Michelle and Oprah will be inspiring. I’ve never been anybody’s fan but I admire and idolize women like Oprah. Once I get back to Mumbai, I will know exactly what I am talking on and for how long, depending on which I will prepare my speech.” Kangana told media that she has been reading books on Gandhi and is inspired by him. She considers Gandhi as an individual with the great mind who “was a sensible [and] intelligent man”. Kangana Ranaut is currently busy with her upcoming film ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’.
