Even though Royal Challengers Bangalore are placed at the seventh spot at the Points Table, but they still have an outside chance of qualifying for the playoffs. At they take on the table toppers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, it won’t be easy to win.

This is a knockout game for RCB as if they loses this game, they can finish at a maximum of 12 points which is definitely not enough to qualify for the playoffs. RCB has never won two consecutive games since 2016 and now here they have to change it as after they won their last match, they have to win next two as well.

Today’s result won’t matter much for Sunrisers as they assured of finishing in the top two. They were looking to be simply undefeatable in this tournament before the last game where they lost comprehensively against CSK. SRH was believed to be a bowling dependant team before their batsmen started to fire and win matches for them.

Manish Pandey, who plays a major role in the middle order for SRH has not done well except one or two matches. So, SRH may start looking for alternatives before something unfortunate happens with them in the playoffs. Also they may give chance to other players while Wriddhiman Saha looks set to come back in place of Goswami.

RCB is unexpected to make any changes in their playing XI as they would look to continue with the winning combination. But Washington Sundar and Brendon McCullum were seen practicing in the nets so you never know what’s going in captain Kohli’s mind.
