IPL 2018 KKR Vs CSK Highlights: KKR Won, Sunil Narine Got The ‘Man of the Match’ Title

Kolkata Knight Riders defeated the Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets to move up the Points Table as now they are placed at the third spot. Sunil Narine won the ‘Man of the Match’ for his all-round performance.

KKR, after winning the toss, asked CSK to bat first. As expected, they made just one change as they played Rinku Singh in place of Nitish Rana. CSK also, expectedly didn’t make any changes to their playing XI.

Every batsmen who came out to bat for CSK scored runs. Watson and du Plessis provided them with a great start with their knocks of 36 and 27 respectively. Raina(31) and Rayudu(21) joined after them but the stand out performance once again came from their captain, MS Dhoni who played a knock of 43*(25) to help CSK finish at 177-5.

Only KKR’s three spinners were able to take wickets and the best performance came Sunil Narine as registered the bowling figures of 4-0-20-2 which restricted the CSK’s total in the middle overs.

Sunil Narine once again showed his talent with the bat as well. He provided KKR with a quick start with his knock of 32(20). After losing a few successive wickets in the middle overs, young Shubman Gill (who was promoted) and skipper Dinesh Karthik ensured till the very end that their team finishes at the winning end.

Shubman Gill showed that he is worth all the hype given to him with his knock 57*. Dinesh Karthik also seems to have found a purple patch after the Nidahas Trophy final as today he played a knock of 45*(18).

CSK’s bowling continue to worry them as it’s their batsmen that have won matches for them and their bowling has let them down whenever tested. Also, the role of Ravindra Jadeja is another matter of concern which they will like to address in the next match.
