The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has decided to re-conduct the examination of the Class X Mathematics and Class XII Economics in the wake of the reports of paper leaked. The Board said the new examinations dates of these exams and other details will be posted on the official website of CBSE within a week.
The crime branch of Delhi Police filed two cases for CBSE paper leak and started examining, in this case, Delhi Police has conducted raids in many areas last night. Not only this, the police has questioned about 25 people in this matter, in which most of the students who had the hand-written question papers.
The police is in the process of finding out where these papers leaked from and how it reached to people on WhatsApp. The police have registered a case under Section 420, 468, 471 of IPC.
“The government has taken cognizance of the CBSE paper leak”, said HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar. In an interview with reporters in Delhi, Mr. Javadekar told media that “a new system would be put in place from Monday to ensure no leaks take place”.
He added, “The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been provided all the information. This is an issue which is very important to the PM”.
“The board has taken cognizance of certain happenings in the conduct of certain examinations as are being reported. With a view to upholding the sanctity of the board examinations and in the interest of fairness to the students, the board has decided to re-conduct the examinations…,” the CBSE circular stated.
