Kolkata Knight Riders will take on the Chennai Super Kings in the 33rd match of IPL 2018 at the Eden Gardens. KKR will look to spoil it for CSK (table toppers) who are having a dream run in this season.

CSK have won six games out of eight they have played this season which includes 4 totals of 200+ and 4 last ball thrilling finishes. KKR on the other hand, had a moderate season with four wins out of 8 matches.

MS Dhoni’s consistent performance is a huge positive for CSK. Apart from him, Ambati Rayudu and Shane Watson are also winning matches for CSK. The former needs only 30 runs to become the first player to complete 400 runs in IPL 2018.

Questions are arising over the selection of Nitish Rana in the playing XI of KKR after he suffered with a lower back injury in the last game. If he misses out today, then it will be a huge loss for Kolkata and this will give KKR a chance to play Shubman Gill higher up the order.

Rinku Singh is an available option to replace Rana. Except that, they might make a few changes in their bowling which looks pretty weak as well. CSK on the other hand are unexpected to make any changes and will continue with the winning side.

There are chances of thundershowers in prior to the match but it will ease out before the match starts. A green, grass-covered pitch will be there in Kolkata offering plenty of runs to score.
