IPL 2018: Mumbai Indians Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Match Preview

Defending champions and this year’s last spotted team at the Points Table Mumbai Indians will take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 14th match of IPL 2018.

Both teams are having a forgettable season in this year’s IPL as MI lost three out the three matches they played while RCB only one a single game in their three games.

Both RCB and MI have some serious issues to fix with their teams. Starting with RCB, just like previous seasons, their team has a strong top order batting while finishing it is a major concern for them. Young Mandeep Singh and Sarfaraz Khan are given this responsibility but they are too inexperienced to do this in every match.

For MI, their batting order and bowling is a concerning matter. Apart from Mustafizur Rahman, Jasprit Bumrah and Mayank Markande, they don’t have much bowlers who can finish their quota of four overs everytime.

RCB may drop Brendon McCullum who has not been performing well this year either with Parthiv Patel or Manan Vohra and may also play an overseas all-rounder in the form of Colin de Grandhomme or Corey Anderson to strengthen their lower middle order. While Mumbai will look to back their existing bowlers and adjust their batting order properly as they are not expected to make much changes.

It is a must win game for Mumbai Indians to open their account in the Points Table. It is an equally important game for the RCB as they are also placed at the sixth position.
